Syracuse.com Immigration reporting and video creation
While I was an intern at Syracuse.com, I had the opportunity to work alongside other journalists to cover the stories of several families impacted by ICE activity in the Central New York area. During interviews, I interpreted from Spanish to English in real time for fellow reporters, and my voice was incorporated into video stories across Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook. For these videos, I narrated portions of the videos, guiding viewers through the events, and captured video and photographs to be integrated later.
Working alongside the social media team, we produced these videos to document the experiences of people affected by the immigration crackdown.
